Airbnb has revealed which of its listings are most sought after by Australian travellers, with the top 10 including homes in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania.

Most of the wish-listed Airbnbs are outside of Australia’s major cities, offering a wonderful opportunity to discover parts of the country you might not have considered travelling to.

Here are the top 10 stays most wish-listed by Aussies:

1. The Scientist Studio – Melbourne, Victoria

As the name suggests, this is one for science lovers thanks to its laboratory-inspired decor, which includes plants growing from beakers, spices stored in test tubes and science-themed artwork.
