Secrets of Adele’s body transformation revealed
Adele’s former personal trainer has revealed what’s behind the star’s svelte new physique, crediting her weight loss to an “intense” diet.

Camilla Goodis, who helped Adele at the start of her weight loss journey, says while the singer is “working out more and more”, she believes “90 per cent of it is diet”.

The LA-based trainer, known as the ‘Brazilian body wizard’, told UK chat show host Lorraine Kelly that Adele significantly decreased her calorie intake, cutting the recommended daily allowance for females of 2,000 calories by half.

“The first week is pretty intense – it’s a lot of green juice, and 1,000 calories a day,” Goodis said.

Meanwhile, a fan who met Adele while she holidayed in Anguilla spoke to PEOPLE about her conversation with the songstress.

Lexi Larson said she had a 15-minute conversation with Adele, although she admits she didn’t recognise the songwriter at first due to her weight loss.

“She said she lost something like 100 lbs (45kg), and that it’s such a crazy positive experience,” Larson told PEOPLE.

Adele first revealed a more slender frame when she posted pictures from Drake’s birthday party in October.

Since then, her weight has continued to drop. She was almost unrecognisable in a post to Instagram of her posing with Santa and the Grinch on Christmas Eve.

Then, images of her on a beach in Anguilla showing off her slimmest figure yet went viral.

A source told PEOPLE the star’s body transformation was “never about losing weight”, and happened as a result of cutting down on drinking and “eating more real food”.

“Her whole focus during the weight loss journey has really been all about how she can be healthier and how can she treat her body better,” said the source.

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly awaiting new music from the singer, with talks a single or album release date will be announced later this year.
