Royally chic: Princess Diana fashion moments that prove her style icon status
In her 36 years, Princess Diana created a powerful legacy in philanthropy, the arts and fashion.

Well known for her selfless charity work, which included fighting for HIV survivors, leading a campaign to ban landmines and supporting the homeless community, she also changed the face of fashion in the monarchy.

From her iconic revenge dress, to her laid-back chic style, we look back at the most iconic Princess Diana fashion moments.

Princess Diana is shown wearing a Victor Edelstein gown as she dances at a November 9, 1985 White House dinner with actor John Travolta. The ink-blue Edelstein gown sold for $222,500 during an auction at Christie’s auction house in New York June 25, the highest price paid for any one of the 79 gowns worn by the Princess and auctioned to raise funds for AIDS and cancer charities in Britain and the United States.
