An animated TV series about the Royal Family is in the works, and it’s already got an A-list star on board to voice one of the characters.

According to Deadline, the series has been cast, with Orlando Bloom set to play the key role of Prince Harry.

Streaming platform HBO Max has given the green light for the satirical show, which will be called The Prince.

The show is based on Family Guy producer Gary Janetti’s Instagram account which pokes fun at the royals.

The animated series will do the same, showing the Royal Family through Prince George’s eyes as he navigates life as heir to the throne.

Janetti will write the show and voice the title character of George.

Other cast members include Condola Rashad as Meghan, Iwan Rheon as Prince William, and Lucy Punch as Catherine.

Alan Cumming is also believed to be joining the cast as George’s butler, Owen.

“We’re so excited to bring the world Gary’s created on Instagram over to HBO Max, where our viewers can discover what his Instagram fans already know – that George can be hilarious, shocking, and surprisingly sweet,” said Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max.

“We can’t wait to see what Gary does with a bigger canvas to paint on than just a 1:1 square.”

While the show was developed before Harry and Meghan’s shock decision to step away from royal duties, the series will likely be adjusted to reflect the latest news from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
