Superstar, fashion mogul and pop culture icon, Rihanna has finally given fans a taste of new music, albeit featuring in another artist’s track.
In her break from making an album, the pop diva has been busy, building her Fenty fashion empire.
Lending her vocals to PARTYNEXTDOOR’s track “Believe It”, it’s not quite the full return fans may have hoped for but does give a taste for what’s in store for her long-awaited new album. Rihanna’s next and ninth album was meant to be released last year, but has been delayed.
It’s been a big week for the pop diva, as she graced the cover of British Vogue. The pop star opens up about activism, her Fenty empire, and new music. “I can’t say when I’m going to drop,” she told the magazine. “But I am very aggressively working on music.”
With a full lingerie, clothing, accessory and makeup line, Fenty has built up a huge following, known for its inclusivity. Launched under the fashion giant LVMH, Rihanna became the first woman and first of colour to be added to the LVMH group. Fenty’s next big release is skincare. “Skincare, it’s the truth. It either works or it doesn’t. There’s nowhere to hide,” she says.
