The Duke of Edinburgh is doing “ok” in hospital, the Duke of Cambridge says.
Speaking at his first in-person engagement of the year, Prince William said of the Duke’s health: “Yes, he’s ok, they’re keeping an eye on him.”
99-year-old Prince Philip was admitted into London’s King Edward VII hospital on Tuesday, 16 February. According to the Royal Family, it was a “precautionary measure” after he was feeling unwell.
Prince Charles travelled from his home in Gloucestershire to visit his father in person on the weekend.
The Duke of Cambridge shared the news during a visit to a vaccination centre in Norfolk where he spoke to NHS staff and volunteers, and members of the public who were receiving the vaccine.
“You guys have overcome every challenge that’s been thrown at you. Brilliant work,” said the Duke as he thanked the healthworkers.
So far, the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have all received the Covid vaccine.
