The Duke of Sussex praised Japan for the way the country has hosted the competition commending their ‘respect’. ‘I think it’s fantastic for rugby,’ he said.

He added: ‘The way they respect each other, the way they’ve respected the game, and the way they’ve respected the travelling teams. Typically Japanese, remarkable.

‘There are hundreds of millions of people watching. I think the competition’s going to finish just as it started. Which is again, spectacular.’  The Duke of Sussex delivered a personal message from the Queen and thank the team for ‘inspiring’ the country.

The English Prime Minister, Boris Johnson also sent his best wishes.

The Duke’s wife and son, are back in London watching the game. While Harry’s cousin, Zara Tindall and husband, Mike, are also in Tokyo. Mike Tindall played Rugby for England, and was part of the team that won the 2003 World Cup.
