Polar Bears in Crisis
The future looks bleak for the polar bear. How can you help this vulnerable species?

World Polar Bear Day is an opportunity to acknowledge the sad reality of this extraordinary animal’s future. With approximately 20,000 polar bears left in the world, it’s no surprise this furry mammal is classified as vulnerable by the World Wildlife Foundation (WFF) and is listed as a threatened species in the USA under the Endangered Species Act.

With the population diminishing due to poaching and habitat loss caused by climate change and settlement construction, the survival and protection of the polar bear is increasingly important.
