Baby Archie’s private christening
The intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, with no public or media in attendance.
Approximately 25 people were expected to join the Sussex’s. Unfortunately, the Queen and Prince Phillip were unable to attend due to prior engagements.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also kept the god parents of baby Archie private.
Princess Madeleine shows off her adorable young family at Princess Adrienne’s Christening
For the Swedish royals, the day was all about showing off their troop of young royals babies, as pictures show them on their best behaviour in public.
Pictures show Adrienne’s older sister Leonore (four at the time) take to the centre of the altar during the christening service, while another picture captured by a Swedish broadcaster, shows her cousin Prince Alexander examining the bowl containing holy water which she would be christened with.
Our Aussie King born in Denmark
For the christening of her son Prince Christian of Denmark, Crown Princess Mary followed the traditional route.
The ceremony took place at the Christiansborg Palace Chapel on 21 January, 2006 and with the name Christian Valdemar Henri John revealed on the day, in line with the Danish royal tradition of choosing between the names Christian and Frederik.
The Royal Family out in force for Prince Louis’ christening
Proud parents Kate and William looked radiant as they attended Prince Louis’ christening, with young George and Charlotte joining the ceremony.
Duchess Kate was glowing in a bespoke white Alexander McQueen dress, having worn the designer to all three of her children’s christenings as well as her wedding.

The Future King of England is christened
23 October 2013 was a special day for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they attended the christening of their first-born and future king, Prince George.
Baby George was the first to wear the replica of Queen Victoria’s christening gown, which was passed down to Charlotte and Louis.
Princess Isabella christened at home
Princess Isabella of Denmark has a much more private ceremony than her brother Christian’s, baptized at home in the Fredensborg palace church.
A handful of royals attended, including Victoria of Sweden and Mathilde of Belgium, and the ceremony was broadcast live on Danish TV.
Crown Princess Maryn donned a lavender Birgit Hallstein dress, paired with Prada heels and a beautiful floral headpiece.
