She has also been referred to as “One of the most successful New Zealanders ever produced.” Now watch as Helen Clark campaigns for the most difficult job in the world, the Secretary General of the United Nations in this observational documentary My Year with Helen.

My Year with Helen goes behind the scenes as Clark bids to become the first female Secretary General of the UN. With unique access, award-winning filmmaker Gaylene Preston casts a wry eye on proceedings as the United Nations turns itself inside-out choosing a new Secretary General. The cameras follow Clark on the campaign as well as taken us around the world in her role as Administrator of the UN Development Programme.
