Moove Over: Ben and Jerry’s are releasing a vegan/lactose free ice-cream
The wait is over. Now everyone can enjoy the delicious flavours of Ben and Jerry's

The good news is here! Now everyone can now enjoy the delicious taste of ice-cream, even if they had previously been relegated to the back of the freezer aisle.

Favourites Ben and Jerry’s will become the first mainstream company to create Vegan and lactose free flavours, they announced earlier this month.  The twist on the usual delicious dessert, will sub out the creamy dairy base, for one made of coconut or almond milk.

Sadly it will still be a while before it hits Australian shelves but it’s due to debut in the US next year, followed shortly by the UK.

After years of petitioning raised just shy of 30,000 signatures, Ben and Jerry’s finally took notice and started in motion the plans to create the vegan treat.

“Nondairy dessert is something we are working on, because everyone has the right to enjoy great dessert,” said a spokesperson from Ben and Jerry’s

What do you think? Is this exactly what dairy-free/vegan dessert lovers have been looking forward to?
