The New Guerlain Eau De Parfum Intense Scent
To capture the free, wild and open spirit of womanhood, Guerlain turned to the olfactory talents of master perfumer Thierry Wasser and perfumer Delphine Jelk. “A play on intensity was an obvious decision,” explains Jelk. “It’s the most Guerlain-like element of Mon Guerlain with its singular, limited approach to ingredients.”
An ancient technique that has been treasured by the house of Guerlain has allowed a mesmerising vanilla tincture to forge the heart of the fragrance. Each and every vanilla pods is sourced directly from Guerlain’s perfume factory in Orphin, located on the outskirts of the Rambouillet forest. From there each pod is prepared, treated and cut into small pieces and soaked in alcohol before being filtered to create a tiny tincture and unparalleled and unforgettable fragrance.
“All the major facets of the original fragrance are accentuated by lavender, patchouli and vanilla Planifolia tincture with its hints of leather, Tahitian vanilla and almond accents which are highlighted by heliotrope. It is this heavy dose of lush vanilla that creates an addictive quality while offering up plenty of elegance and mystery,” explains Jelk.
