Michelle Obama’s facialist reveals the secret to her glowing skin
Michelle Obama has been a long-time advocate for living a healthy lifestyle. Alongside a great diet and workout routine, the former first lady pays a lot of attention to her skin health.

The 56-year-old has continued to stun fans with her glowing skin and stunning complexion.

So, what’s her secret skincare weapon? Her facialist and skincare expert to the stars, Jennifer Brodeur, says it’s a combination of vitamins, collagen supplements, and a bit of self-care.

“We started with an anti-inflammatory system and then it was about integrating more vitamin Cs and then vitamin A in the evening,” Brodeur told Refinery29. The skincare guru says the bespoke serums help reduce hyperpigmentation and create an even complexion.

The next step, says Brodeur, is about making the skin as hydrated and dewy as possible. “I use a gel-based collagen in which I’ll infuse vitamin C and then I’ll use oxygen to make sure the skin absorbs as much as possible. And then I always incorporate our LED device, which…really helps with that glow of the skin.”

With a busy schedule and frequent travel, Brodeur says it’s important to keep the skin hydrated, using Peoni L’extrait oil as her go-to hydration product. “It’s an anti-inflammatory and makes sure the skin stays very hydrated. She can even use it on her cuticles,” she says.

Brodeur says she’s also learnt a lot from Mrs Obama about the importance of self-care. “The whole gesture of cleansing your skin and applying your serums and creams, all of those things you can do for yourself and it’s the best display of self-love.”
