While some royal fans believe Baby Sussex has been already born, there has been radio silence from the royal family leading to speculation reaching fever pitch in recent days.
Meghan Markle baby: What we know
The Duchess has not been seen publicly since March following an announcement that she would be out of the spotlight in preparation for the birth of Baby Sussex.
A statement also issued by Kensington Palace, which was released last month, said, “Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private,” reads the memo.
“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
In the days and then weeks since then, precious few details about her whereabouts or wellbeing have been released.
But according to multiple royal reporters, baby Sussex has not arrived yet, and the Palace will notify the press when Duchess Meghan goes into labour.
As royal correspondent Victoria Murphy wrote in an article for Town & Country last month, it is “understood that it will be announced when the Duchess has gone into labour and there will another announcement at some stage following the birth.”
Thus far, no such announcement has been made.
When exactly is baby due?
A Nine-month pregnant Duchess let slip that she is due at the end of April or early May during an engagement in Birkenhead earlier this year. The couple announced their pregnancy to family and friends at Princess Eugenie’s wedding in October, just days before their royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.
But amidst the anticipation, some royal watchers wondered: Has Meghan already given birth and just not told the public? Given that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did announce that they’re keeping their birth plans private.

Boy or girl?
The royal couple recently said that they’d be “thrilled” with a baby boy or girl, but have not given any indication of whether or not they know the baby’s sex. The current odds according to The Telegraph are: Girl – 4/7; Boy – 5/4.
As for the baby’s name, Baby Sussex will be born into the British royal family, where tradition is an intrinsic part of the Windsors’ lives. If the couple follow this route, possibilities include Alice, Mary, Elizabeth or Victoria for a girl, and Philip, Frederick, Charles, Arthur, Edward or James for a boy.
However, when it comes to the royal Prince Harry and Meghan Markle baby, things haven’t gone exactly to British royal family tradition.
