The internationally renowned jeweller has opened its first boutique on New Zealand shores.
The store, located in Britomart, occupies an impressive residence on the ground floor of Australis House, at 33 Galway Street, Auckland.
“We are very excited to open our doors in Auckland today,” said Glen Schlehuber, vice president and managing director of Tiffany & Co. Oceania. “The store represents a wonderful opportunity to showcase the excellent quality and craftsmanship of our Tiffany collections and provide new customers with a world-class shopping experience.”
The 430 square metre store opens to a grand entrance room, featuring a magical hand-leafed chandelier by New York-based artist, Michelle Oka Doner, inspired by none other than the iconic Tiffany Magnolia motif.
The Fine Jewellery Salon is a nod to the deco decadence of the flagship Fifth Avenue store. Adorned with walnut paneling and tactile velvet walls, the sophisticated drapery accents the luxurious space.
Guests are invited to walk through to The Bridal Salon, home to the world famous Tiffany Setting engagement ring. Walls covered in hand painted and gilded Tiffany Magnolia glass panels anchor the room, creating an inviting and celebratory space that speaks of the message at the heart of the brand – love.
For the more discerning clientele, the Private Sales Salon, inspired by the residences of New York City’s Upper East Side, offers a calming respite and unique experience for those looking for that very special piece.
Of course, the store will feature the celebrated Tiffany’s diamond engagement rings, alongside collections of magnificent diamond and gemstone creations, fine and sterling silver jewellery; the acclaimed Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso and Jean Schlumberger collections as well as watches, gifts and leather accessories.
And what would a trip to Tiffany’s be without leaving with your own little blue box?
