Lady Gabriella Windsor married Thomas Kingston in a beautiful ceremony at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday. St. George’s Chapel is the same location where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot almost exactly one year ago.
Prince Harry attended solo, meaning that Meghan Markle didn’t make it to the latest royal wedding. As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently welcomed their first child – Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor – it makes sense that Meghan might want to stay home with her new baby.
The Duke of Sussex was accompanied by his uncle and aunt, the Earl of Wessex and the Princess Royal, who was joined by her second husband Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence for the wedding of Lady Gabriella, the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, to financier Mr Kingston.
The Queen was joined by Prince Philip as the Duke of Edinburgh. Other royals at the chapel included Sarah, Duchess of York with her ex-husband Prince Andrew and their daughter Princess Beatrice with her boyfriend Edoardo Marpelli Mozzi. Pippa Middleton – a long-time friend of Mr Kingston – was also there with her husband, James Matthews.
Lady Gabriella, who also goes by “Ella” to her close friends, is the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, who happens to be Queen Elizabeth II‘s cousin.
The bride wore a white lace bespoke gown by Italian designer Luisa Beccaria and a Russian Fringe-style tiara, a family heirloom.
