The Duchess of Cambridge dazzled this week in a shimmering green number during her recent tour of Ireland.

Kate is, in fact, the second royal to wear this silk, midi dress by designer The Vampire’s Wife. Princess Beatrice made an appearance in the green number at the wedding of Ellie Goulding in August 2019.

Designer lowdown: The Vampire’s Wife

Who is this designer the royals adore? The Vampire’s Wife was launched by British designer Susie Cave in 2014. Cave is also the wife of musician Nick Cave and the brand’s name is inspired by one of his abandoned book projects. Since its launch, The Vampire’s Wife has garnered a large cult following – loved for their romantic and ethereal designs, delicate patterns and luxurious fabrics like velvet, silk and chiffon.
