Kate Middleton Misses Prince George
The Duchess of Cambridge admits her school drop-off guilt.

In a speech at a Place2Be forum focused on schools and mental health, the Duchess of Cambridge told crowds how difficult being a parent can be. “As a mother, just getting used to leaving my own child at the school gates, it is clear to me that it takes a whole community to help raise a child,” The Daily Mail reports.

Four-year-old Prince George, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s eldest child, started school at Thomas’s Battersea in September.

Kate spoke about the importance of supporting youth during their school years, particularly when they begin their education. “I believe what you all know to be true, that getting help and support to young children at the very earliest stage helps improve their outcomes later in life,” she said. “Whether we are school leaders, teachers, support staff or parents we are all in this together.”

The Duchess added that adults must work together to ensure their children grow up strong, confident and capable. “We are all working to give children the emotional strength they need to face their future lives and thrive.”

Kate is currently pregnant with her third child, which is expected in April 2018.
