Kate Hudson is back to work after baby No. 3 in her capacity as a UN Ambassador

Multitasking mama! Kate Hudson looked radiant after baby number three as she returned to work on Wednesday.

Five weeks after welcoming daughter Rani Rose with partner Danny Fujikawa, Kate Hudson, 39, made her first public appearance on Wednesday when she celebrated her new role with the United Nation’s World Food Programme during an event in Los Angeles.

Wearing a button-down T-shirt dress with neutral coloured heels, Hudson headed to the campus of UCLA where she joined designer Michael Kors for an event to promote his charity campaign and celebrated her new appointment during a panel discussion.

“As a mother, I understand the vital importance proper food and nutrition play in the life of a child,” the actress said in a previous statement. “The work of the World Food Programme is so much more than just feeding people, it’s about strengthening families, rebuilding communities, and ensuring everyone, everywhere has access to the food they need to not only survive, but thrive.”

The Rome-based humanitarian organisation provides food assistance to more than 90 million people in more than 80 countries.

Hudson, who is also mom to Ryder, 14, and Bingham, 7, from previous relationships, also took to Instagram to announce the little one’s arrival in October and explain the meaning behind her unique name.

She wrote: “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor. Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”

This is not Hudson’s first partnership with the World Food Programme. In 2015, she joined Kors’ Watch Hunger Stop campaign.
