Julianne Moore and Sienna Miller Unite For Time’s Up Movement
Actresses Julianne Moore and Sienna Miller joined forces over the weekend to raise awareness for the Time's Up movement.

During a Time’s Up event at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival, Sienna Miller and Julianne Moore took the stage to speak about the importance of gender equality. Both women were hosting the event, which was held at Spring Studios in New York and encouraged talk about the movement.

A range of women including business leaders, lawyers, activists and filmmakers came together to share their own stories and “establish the parameters for lasting change across industries and the pay spectrum”, The Daily Mail reports.

Both Miller and Moore have publicly spoken about the Time’s Up movement, Moore detailing her own experience with sexual abuse. Last month Miller addressed the United Nation’s panel #MeToo—Now What?, saying: “I have really just had enough. Enough of being undervalued, enough of being undermined, enough of being disrespected, because of my gender. A few years ago I was offered a gutsy, powerful role in a play that was close to my heart [but] I was offered less than half what my male costar was being paid”, she said. “The decision to turn down this particular role was difficult and lonely. I was forced to choose between making a concession on my self-worth and dignity and a role that I was in love with. It turned out to be a pivotal moment in my life, not because I did it. But because I didn’t.”

Ashley Judd, one of the founding voices of the movement, also attended the event, from which all proceeds went to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund.
