Graeme Simison’s awkward professor looking for love gets the on-screen treatment, with Jennifer Lawrence as Rosie

The Oscar-winner and Hunger Games actor will play the book’s namesake, Rosie, who turns the life of awkward academic Don Tillman on its head.

The international hit novel, first made waves when it was released in 2013. The premise has the protagonist carefully plotting for a romantic partner using scientific principles – to great comic effect. Simison has since written a successful sequel, The Rosie Effect, so a multi-film deal could very possibly be on the cards.

The adaptation is being developed by Columbia Pictures who are currently searching for a director to attach to the project. The quirky rom-com worthy material of the book, even got the thumbs up from Bill Gates, who included it on his 2013 Summer Reading list.

Now we wait with baited breath to see who will score the role of the unintentionally hilarious, Don Tillman.

Who do you think would be a perfect fit for the role?
