It’s a pretty big claim to say that a fruit could change your life. But Red Papaya comes pretty close – it’s a superfruit that’s jam-packed with a wealth of incredible health benefits that the whole family can reap.

Lush, delicious and bursting with natural nutritional goodness, it’s the perfect healthy way to bring a taste of the tropics to your table all year round. Yet, 9 out of 10 Aussie households don’t eat papaya according to Ruby Rise Red Papaya.

The MacKay family are the pioneers behind this new brand. They have been growing tropical fruit since 1945 and today MacKay’s is Australia’s largest and most significant banana producer. They’ve been growing red papaya for over 10 years.

Over four generations, the MacKay’s have become experts in using environmentally conscious farming techniques, unlocking the full flavour and natural health benefits of their produce.

“Papaya is a healthy and nutritious fruit that will play a major role in our diets in the future, and we see a great opportunity to help educate Australian families around healthy food choices. We are looking forward to sharing our specially selected Ruby Rise Red Papaya, so everyone can Taste the Supergoodness,” says Barrie MacKay, Managing Director of MacKay’s Farming Group.

Not only does Ruby Rise taste delicious, but it also comes full to the brim with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals — essential nutrients for the whole family.

However, red papaya still isn’t a regular on people’s shopping lists. Families are missing out on tasting the supergoodness of red papaya simply because they don’t know it exists, what it tastes like or how to use it. And one of the biggest barriers is confusion with pawpaw, which has a different flavour altogether.

Food blogger Jo Ross from Healthy Eating Jo says “Along with super high levels of vitamin C, red papaya is filled with vitamins A and B, as well as essential minerals like potassium and magnesium. In fact, red papayas have one of the highest amounts of nutrients of any fruit.”

Jade Woodd, food and health blogger, naturopath and nutritionist says “We love using Ruby Rise Red Papaya as an alternative to bananas in our smoothies. It’s such a nutrient-dense food, and is a great digestive aid.”

Whether it’s blended into a breakfast smoothie, chopped into a fruit salad or zinged up with a slice of lime, Red Papaya is an incredibly versatile fruit and the perfect way to bring healthy, delicious supergoodness to the family table.

Red papaya’s tropical background and great flavour mean it’s widely used in many international cuisines around the world.
