Glastonbury organisers say festival will go ahead despite coronavirus concerns
Organisers of Glastonbury have announced a star-studded line-up for the festival, saying at this stage it will go ahead despite concerns over the spread of COVID-19.

Festival co-organiser Emily Eavis announced the first list of musical acts on Instagram, saying they are “working hard to deliver” the festival despite “the current circumstances”.

Joining Taylor Swift, who was previously confirmed as headliner, are music heavyweights Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar and Diana Ross.

Other A-list stars to hit the stage include Camila Cabello, Charlie XCX, Dua Lipa, and Lana Del Rey, plus many more incredible musical acts.

It’s the 50th anniversary of the festival, with the first event taking place the day after Jimi Hendrix died in 1970.

The first year’s attendance was just 1500 and it cost only £1 to attend. Plus, attendees were given free milk from Worthy Farm, where the festival is held.

The capacity of last year’s festival was 203,000, with tickets going for £248.
