It was only a matter of weeks ago that Allbirds released the brands’ first dedicated running shoe – the Dasher, which you can read all about right here. Now our favourite sustainably minded brand is back and this time they’re stepping outside of the footwear realm to launch new Allbirdes Trino underwear.
Often underwear is made from cotton and virgin nylon, but the production of both of these fibres has the potential to wreak havoc on the planet. Cotton is often grown using harsh pesticides and virgin nylon is made from petroleum.
Armed with this knowledge, Allbirds decided it was time to take a different approach to underwear and once again looked to nature as the muse for their latest launch.
Since their socks made from Trino – a innovative blend of breathable, responsibly sourced Eucalyptus tree fibres and super-soft New Zealand merino wool – the team decided, why not take this blend and fashion it into a sustainable underwear collection.
So not only are the new Allbirds Trino undies incredibly comfortable, they’re made from chemical-free fabrics and they’re better for the planet too.
