Eat.Taste.Central Returns for 2018
Back for another year, Eat.Taste.Central is Central Otago’s answer to all things delicious. The theme for this year’s event is ‘Slow Cooked and Homegrown, the flavours of Central’ and it’s one you won’t want to miss.

Central Otago is a place where you can leave the stresses of work behind and just relax, soak in the atmosphere and let the rejuvenation process begin. Eat.Taste.Central, Central Otago’s premium food and wine festival, provides the perfect opportunity to do just that; with the added bonus of wine in hand and delicious food to sample around every corner. What makes the festival even better is that this year, MiNDFOOD is jumping on board as a partner.

To say we’re excited is somewhat of an understatement. Food and wine are two of our favourite things so we can’t wait to be apart of an indulgent celebration of all things delicious.

Not only will MiNDFOOD be bolstering E.T.C’s promotional efforts but our Food Director, Michelle McHugh (Central Otago born and bred), will be this year’s convener of judges.

“Returning home to Central Otago to be part of Eat.Taste.Central is a great opportunity to see local ingredients being used by talented locals. We are passionate about using local produce at MiNDFOOD and helping showcase the very best Central has to offer.  We are looking forward to the association,” said an excited Michelle.

As more people discover the serene gem that is Central Otago, it becomes more widely known for its exquisite food and wine.

Eat.Taste.Central campaign manager, Antz Longman, commented on this, saying “Central Otago is now being recognised as more than an award-winning wine region. It is a real must visit food and wine destination. Our landscapes and seasons inspire chefs and foodies through a diverse range of distinctive local flavours. The growth is highlighted with a raft of new cafes, cellar doors, restaurants, wine tours, and craft breweries appearing around the region in the last few years.”

The festival will take place between 14 September – 22 October. For more information on Eat.Taste.Central, click here.
