An Australian man has taken his chances with the bulls of Pamploma and lost, after being gored in the groin
Score: Bull - 1, Aussie man - 0, in Pamploma's Running of the Bulls.

The man, who has only been identified by his initials T.L.O, has been hospitalised and finds himself in the company of 14 other unfortunate people who have also sustained injuries this week.

The San Fermin festival, where the infamous race takes place, was host to a dramatic demonstration by activists calling for an end to the ritual that dates back to the Middle Ages.

The Australian thrill-seeker obviously chose to ignore calls from protesters, who believe if you participate in the archaic tradition you are complicit in animal abuse.

The 27-year-old was treated for injuries by doctors at the scene, on his groin and thighs that he suffered towards the end of the race.

Northern Spain’s weeklong festival attracts thousands willing to risk life and limb to take part. The increase in technology has meant more injuries, with punters refusing to put down their mobile phones despite the possibility of death.
