Your hair health will benefit from taking a break from styling tools. Experiment with slicked-back ponytails and updos. Still desperate to add some beachy waves to your hair? Clean your make-up brushes

Now is the perfect time to try and establish a habit of cleaning your brushes more frequently. Not sure where to start? Here’s our rundown of how to clean your brushes effectively while caring for them at the same time.

Stop over-plucking your eyebrows

If you’re guilty over overplucking your eyebrows, you’re not alone – especially if you were a teen in the 90s. But rather than reaching for the tweezers or fretting about when your next brow appoint, why not give your brows some time to grow back?

Over lockdown, Aussie eyebrow queen Kristin Fisher agrees and took to Instagram to tell her fans that now is the perfect time to put the tweezers down. “How many of you have tried for years to grow your brows out, but keep on tweezing them because you just.cant.help.yourself???” she asked her followers.

“So many clients come to us who are addicted to the tweezer (it’s a real thing) when I know full well they have the potential to have lovely full brows if they’d only let the hairs grow,” said the eyebrow queen in an Instagram post.

So do as Fisher says: put down the tweezers and let those brows do their thing.
