The singer's new album is reportedly being released on 5 November - the same date as ABBA's new album.

Adele teases new album as mysterious billboards pop up around the world

Adele fans might not have to wait too much longer for new music, as the British songstress teases her album releases on social media.

The singer’s Twitter and Instagram pages have been updated, with her profile images changed to a turquoise colour. Her website has also been updated with the same colour and a simple call to sign up for new details.

The social media changes come after a mysterious ’30’ was projected on notable landmarks and buildings around the world, a hint at the name of her new album, after previous albums 19, 21 and 25.

Paris’ Eiffel Tower, Rome’s Colosseum, New York’s Empire State Building, London’s Tate Modern and Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate and Amsterdam’s Nemo Museum were some of the landmarks that lit up with the mysterious ’30’.

According to reports last month, Adele’s record label Sony is looking at a release date of 5 November for the highly-anticipated fourth album.

If it’s true, music fans will be in for a real treat, as ABBA’s Voyage album is also being released on the exact same date.

Neither the singer nor the record label have confirmed the release date, but we do know Adele has been working on the album since 2018. Her last album, 25, was released in 2015.

In June, E! News reported that the singer “has been very busy focusing on herself this last year…and has spent months in the studio recording her new album.”

As to the subject matter, the album is rumoured to deal with heartbreak and her divorce from her husband, Simon Konecki, earlier this year. “We’re going to hear about her divorce,” the source told E!, “and what she’s been going through.”

Fans last saw Adele on Saturday Night Live as the host, and her last performance was at Glastonbury in 2016.
