Surprising facts about Claire Foy that will make you admire her more.

Humble, honest and hilarious – Claire Foy recently spoke exclusively to MiNDFOOD about her upcoming projects, handling her fame and being a mum. In a bid to find out more about this British actress who has made the jump to the big screen in recent years, we uncovered a few surprising facts about The Crown actress that you may not have known.

She dreamed of working in supermarket when she was younger: Claire Foy, famous around the world for playing Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix series The Crown told Swedish chat show Skavlan: “I wanted to work in Tesco’s the supermarket growing up. I wanted to work on the till. That was it. I just did not have any big grand ideas for myself.” A long way from the star she has become.

She has a new movie coming out: She is starring as hacker heroine Lisbeth Salander in the new Millennium movie, The Girl in the Spider’s Web. It is set for international release on November 9.

The actress battles anxiety: Speaking again on Skavlan, she discussed her “irrational” anxiety battle as she admits she can have an attack over something as simple as what to eat for dinner

She hates the term ‘strong women’: Despite playing several ‘strong’ women, it turns out the actress hates the term ‘strong women’, and has no intentions of living up to it. Chatting to the Sydney Morning Herald, she opened up on her views surrounding the term and believes it was designed to make women ‘more acceptable in a male world.’

She was five months pregnant auditioning for The Crown: For the first series, Foy joked she did a lot of her “own queen breastwork” but later had to switch to the brassiere once she lost the baby weight.
