4 Ways To Enjoy The Holidays Guilt-Free
Remain in charge this festive season with these easy steps.

The festive season has a habit of reeking havoc on our otherwise controlled lives. Instead of fighting holiday extravagance, say yes more and save the “thanks but no thanks” for later.

After all, meeting up with friends over a good meal is beneficial for more than just your social life. Celebrate all you want as long as it makes you happy.

Here are our favourite ways to stay balanced over the festive season.

1. Enjoy every last minute of your time off and leave guilt at the door.

By saying no to food-guilt and yes to enjoyment and satisfaction we are improving our overall wellbeing around this busy period. We’re not saying reach for the processed carbs over everything else, we are simply telling you to let yourself relax, let go and have fun – without the nagging guilt that usually follows.

2. Create healthy options

Can’t stand that all your get togethers seem to be lacking in vegetables, or anything green for that matter? For peace of mind, be the person who offers to make the nutritious side dishes for your dinner parties. Big bowls of nourishing salads or fresh veggies will always go down a treat with the heavier-festive staples.

3. Pick a healthy habit and stick to it

Whether it’s aiming to walk for at least 30 minutes a day, or taking all of your vitamins without fail, maintain just one healthy habit and stick to it for the entirety of the holidays. It could be as simple as swapping out your morning coffee for a cleansing hot water and lemon, or making your 3pm treat a delicious green juice. It’s up to you, just whatever you choose, stick with it and you will feel ultimately better about the choices you make.

4. Make a plan

By setting your goals and starting times for getting your health back on track after the holidays, you are cementing a little more faith in yourself than you realise. Whether it is setting up a gym buddy or booking in to your favourite pilates class, making plans to begin gives your body something to look forward to and prevents you from putting it off.

Once your plan is made, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
