Global fast-fashion brand Zara has announced it is launching an extensive new Zara Beauty makeup collection.
The range, that arrives with the tagline âThere is no beauty, only beautiesâ, comprises products for eyes, lips, face, nails and accessories.
Overseen by world-renowned makeup artist Diane Kendal, at launch the Zara Beauty collection offers over 130 colours, six lip products (matte lipstick, satin lipstick, demi-matte lipstick, tinted balm, lip oil and lip gloss), six-shade eye-shadow palettes, smaller shadow duos, a matte-black eyeliner, loose metallic pigment, bronzer, blush palettes, highlighter, 39 nail polishes, and six makeup brushes. The products are clean and cruelty free with a majority vegan in formulation. Each of the palettes are refillable and you are able to select which shades appeal to fill them with.
âWhen Zara approached me to lead the creative direction of Zara Beauty, I saw an opportunity to make something that everyone would want to use,â Kendal told The Cut. âZara has always reached such a diverse audience, and I wanted to bring that same big vision to beauty with a collection that is clean, refillable, and accessible to all. I am really proud of what we have created: an expansive array of consciously unique formulas for eyes, lips, face, and nails.â
It is not the first time the Spain-based mega-retailer has created beauty products, a previous limited-edition line was overseen by makeup artist Pat McGrath.
The new Zara Beauty collection launched globally on May 12 with a permanent dedicated space in selected stores, with other locations given access to purchase online.
Now available online for purchase in New Zealand, prices for the collection range from NZ$6.50 for a single eyeshadow refill pan to NZ$24.90 for lipstick and NZ$25.90, so far the most expensive item, for a large powder brush.
