Mercedes-Benz New Zealand will maintain its place as an Elite Partner of New Zealand Fashion Week for the fourth year. The luxury automotive brand has been a key player in the global fashion industry for over two decades, supporting numerous fashion platforms and shows around the world.
The ‘Mercedes-Benz Presents’ designer program evolved at the 2003 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York. Designers are selected for their innovative style and quality craftsmanship, and are supported by Mercedes-Benz in the form of sponsored runways, behind-the-scenes features and more.
Zambesi is the latest label to be announced as a Mercedes-Benz Presents Designer. Originating in 1979, Zambesi is now one of New Zealand’s most reputable labels. Committed to producing unique, high-quality garments locally, Zambesi are “thrilled” to be 2017’s recipient.
“Mercedes-Benz reflects confidence, sophistication and imagination, making it the perfect fit for Zambesi,” Zambesi Co-Founder and designer Elizabeth Findlay says. To celebrate the new partnership, the label have created two bespoke ensembles to feature in the Mercedes-Benz Presents Zambesi runway show.
