You’re invited to The Rees Culinary Series with Domaine-Thomson Wines

The Rees Hotel in Queenstown is preparing to host a culinary extravaganza featuring Domaine-Thomson Wines.

The event is set to take place on Friday 26th May 2023 at 6pm and is sure to be a highlight for foodies and wine lovers alike.

Guests will be treated to a sumptuous four-course dinner, crafted by the Rees Hotel’s executive chef Corey Hume, with each course paired with a different vintage from Domaine-Thomson Wines’ vineyards in France and New Zealand.

The winery is renowned for its top-notch Pinot Noirs, sourced from two of the best regions in the world for this variety, Burgundy in France and Central Otago in New Zealand.

In addition to the delectable menu and wine pairings, guests will also enjoy a welcome drink and canapes on arrival, as well as access to special exclusive rates for the wines showcased during the evening.

The Winemakers Dinner is priced at $185 per person, with the option to upgrade to the Rees Hotel’s Domaine-Thomson Residential Package at $397.50 per person, which includes one night’s stay in a luxurious Executive Lake View Hotel Room, two tickets to the dinner and wine matches, breakfast for two the next morning, and a late check-out of 12pm midday. Additional ‘Bed and Breakfast’ nights are available for $425.00.

The True South Dining Room, where the event will be held, is renowned for its sophisticated and elegant dining experience, with a focus on showcasing the fantastic produce from the surrounding area in mouth-watering dishes created by Executive Chef, Corey Hume.

Corey has been a representative for New Zealand, Australia and Australasia throughout his career and was a member of the Fonterra New Zealand Olympic Squad that competed at the Culinary Olympics in 2016.

He has also served as the Executive Chef for one of the world’s most exclusive and well-regarded lodges, Blanket Bay Lodge Glenorchy, where he and his team catered to some of the most discerning guests with the highest expectations in service, wine and cuisine.
