To celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the iconic Hobbiton Movie Set has partnered with Airbnb to offer lucky guests a once-in-a-lifetime stay.
There are three individual two-night stays up for grabs for up to four guests, priced as low as $10 NZD a night.
With rolling green pastures, 44 hobbit holes, the Green Dragon Inn and The Millhouse venue, Hobbiton gives visitors the rare chance to step into the world of JRR Tolkien.
The exclusive stays with Airbnb feature overnight accommodation curated by the trilogies’ own Creative Director Brian Massey, private access to your own personal Hobbit Hole for afternoon tea, an evening banquet at The Green Dragon and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Hobbiton Movie set.
“For more than two decades, we’ve welcomed millions of passionate fans to Hobbiton Movie Set, but never before has anyone had the opportunity to spend a night in Middle-earth,” Host Russell Alexander said. “I am delighted to share the beauty of my family’s farm and pleased to be hosting this iconic location on Airbnb for fans from around the world.”
The unique stays will take place on 2-4 March, 9-11 March and 16-18 March 2023. Requests for bookings open on Wednesday 14 December from 10 am NZDT / 8 am AEDT at airbnb.com/hobbiton. Guests must have a verified Airbnb profile, history of positive reviews and age 18+.
