Tickets to the World of WearableArt Awards are now on sale as we take a look at this year's marvellous creation.

WearableArt in flight

Back in September last year, MiNDFOOD published a behind-the-scenes story and photo essay documenting the making of the World of WearableArt (WOW) image for its 2014 campaign.

Well, now we can show you the complete image which is a marvellous fantasy featuring models lassoing clouds and being blown by the wind above the city of Wellington where the Awards will held again in September.

The image was shot in four parts in the studio by photographer Steve Unwin using real models wearing WOW costumes.

The shoot, which was styled by WOW Ambassador, former WOW supreme award winner and Dubai-based stylist Mandi Kingsbury, took hours of planning and a full day to capture the models in the positions you see them in, which for some required being suspended from or hanging onto ropes from the ceiling.

The background image of Wellington had already been conceived by WOW founder Dame Suzie Moncrieff. The individual images of each model were then added. The result, we think is spectacular.

WOW costumes pictured in the image, from left, are Totally Sheepish, American Dream, Dragged Through a Hedge and Hermancea.
