World Egg Day has been celebrated annually on the second Friday of October since 1996. An important part of cuisine throughout the world, eggs are a good source of protein and vitamin B12. They also carry numerous minerals including iron, copper and zinc.
Eggs are extremely versatile and can be used in a huge number of dishes, both sweet and savoury. Thanks to the increasing amount of people choosing free range options, eggs can be both affordable and cruelty-free in 2017.
