How’s this for an interesting punishment.
A police officer decided to teach a woman a lesson after she locked her dog in a hot car while she did some errands.
We’ve all been warned about the dangers of leaving babies, small children and pets in cars, especially during the hotter months, as they can die of heat exhaustion or dehydration as a result.
Police even have permission to break car windows if they see a child or dog in distress.
Yet we still see the situation occur, especially in parking lots at local supermarkets and shopping centres.
This officer in Ohio decided the best way to ensure the woman learnt her lesson was to out her in her dogs shoes.
She was made to get into the boiling hot car that she felt was ok to leave her dog in.
While the woman was eventually let out of her car safe and well, she emerged embarrassed and uncomfortable but we are sure she will think twice before deciding to live her pooch locked in the car again.
Perhaps he should have also asked her to done a fur coat for her to truly understand what kind of heat and discomfort her pet would have felt.
