A woman has been arrested after attempting to break in to Prince George's school.

A 40-year-old woman has been arrested for attempting to break in to Prince George’s school.

The young prince was attending his first week of class at Thomas’ Battersea School in London when the woman was caught. Police are holding her in custody as they investigate a suspected burglary attempt.

“We are working with the school, which is attended by His Royal Highness Prince George, to review its security arrangements after the incident,” police said in a statement.

A spokeswoman for Kensington Palace said: “We are aware of this issue but won’t comment on security matters.”

Prince George was not present when the incident took place. Early years primary classes are only held in the afternoon at the school.

The £18,000-a-year school is working with police to improve security measures in light of the incident.
