Witchery opens new store in Christchurch

Today Witchery opened the doors to a brand new flagship store in Christchurch’s stylish shopping precinct, The Crossing.

The architecturally designed store offers the complete range of Womanswear and Girl + Boy, making it central Christchurch’s first full Witchery retail shop. “We are delighted to be opening our new Witchery store in Christchurch following the devastating earthquake in 2011,” says Scott Fyfe, CEO, Country Road Group.

Taking a contemporary approach, the new store features numerous digital screens displaying Witchery’s campaign imagery, as well as a premium accessories lounge. To celebrate the opening, shoppers can enjoy 20% off storewide until September 10th. Complimentary coffee will also be served until Saturday 9th.

Magical Mud: spa treatments for spring

Beauty trends come and go, but the concept of wellness – which has rapidly become entwined in the spa world – is here to stay. In today’s hectic world, taking time out to reset and revive the mind is more important than ever. “It’s essential to have some time where you can switch off,” says Polynesian Spa retreat manager Helena Keenan. “It’s necessary for self-care.”

A day spent at Polynesian Spa is just the cure for a tired mind and body. After a soak in the wellness centre’s rejuvenating mineral waters, round-off your pampering with a Signature Spa Mud Wrap ($179 for 60 minutes, $250 to add a 30-minute massage). The restorative treatment begins with a full-body polish exfoliation before Rotorua’s world famous mineral-packed geo-thermal mud is applied in a full-body mud mask. Sulphur, calcium, sodium and silicon in the mud provide skin with a hit of antioxidants and the treatment is completed with a warm shower and choice of moisturiser to nourish the skin.

Put down the smartphone and allow yourself to truly relax.
