Costco New Zealand officially begun trading in April 2022, after opening its petrol station in Auckland’s Westgate. Motorists were already queuing to get their discounted fuel, currently priced at $2.49 for unleaded 91.

The multi-billion-dollar global retailer announced in June 2019 they would be opening their first-ever Costco in New Zealand.
In late March 2022, customers were seen queuing for hours outside the Costco New Zealand store in Westgate, Auckland to get their hands on a membership. Costco’s discount products and fuel are only available to members, who pay an annual fee of $60.
Costco memberships can be purchased online or from a temporary office at 15 Kakano Road Westgate, Auckland until the store opens.
