The beach is not the place to let down your sun protection guard, so choose a substantial hat to wear up top and make sure you reapply a liberal layer of SPF before and after swimming. These pieces are largely packable too, which makes them useful for longer haul travel or weekends away.

Our theory is to spend a bit more on a beach tote as they never date, and you’ll only use it for a few weeks a year. We love a tropical-vibes of a raffia tote but the woven leather has an edgy twist that’s hard to beat.
