Two paddleboarders had the experience of a lifetime after witnessing a spectacular display of breaching, courtesy of a playful humpback whale.
The area, off the coast of Maui, is apparently well known for its inviting waters, which plays host to humpback whales over the winter months.
Luckily for the paddleboarders, their experience was caught on tape, as stunned onlookers snapped away from the shore of the Westin Ka’anapali.
Winter sees approximately 10,000 whales spend their winters in Hawaii as the warmer waters are the perfect environment for mating and calving season.
