Wellington welcomes Liberty, a stylish inner-city eatery backed by hospo heavyweights
The capital city's newest restaurant takes a free-thinking approach to its menu of flavoursome shared plates.

Situated in the heart of Wellington on the bustling Cuba Street, Liberty is the latest restaurant from the team behind beloved fine-dining destination, Logan Brown.

Owners Steve Logan, Shaun Clouston and Debbie Jones’ new hospitality endeavour takes a more casual dining approach, offering “unfussy dishes full of flavour and intrigue…where cuisine defies categorisation.”

As the name suggests, Liberty takes a free-spirited approach to food, celebrating the flavours of the world with dishes like Korean fried chicken with smashed salted cucumber, albacore crudo with citrus and chilli, and pork collar with peach and Hawke’s Bay quinoa.

“It’s a place for every occasion and everyone for the big and small moments, casual or spirited dinners,” says Logan.

Liberty is open from 5pm to late, Wednesday to Sunday. Visit libertyrestaurant.co.nz for more details.
