The first trailer has just dropped for the eagerly-awaited follow up to 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express.
Oscar nominee Kenneth Branagh is back in the role as Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot in Death on the Nile, which takes the iconic detective through the epic landscape of Egypt to solve a mysterious murder.
“Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short,” describes the film’s synopsis.
Branagh is joined by a stellar cast, including Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer and Jennifer Saunders.
The film promises all the exciting Christie elements to hook audiences, including wicked twists, a slew of fascinating characters and the sweeping vistas of Egypt’s deserts and pyramids.
The film has yet to lock in a release date, but will be coming to cinemas soon.
