Taking place on 24 May, the event marked a historic moment, with the Maison being the first to stage a fashion show on the island which has been under the ownership of the Borromeo family for nearly four centuries.
“The Cruise 2024 collection is a narrative of transformation. Sartorial characters that renew themselves each in contact with the other,” the Maison said.
“A to and fro between the familiar and the singular, the ordinary towards the extraordinary.”
Louis Vuitton has always been synonymous with the spirit of travel and the discovery of extraordinary destinations, whether natural wonders, architectural marvels or artistic treasures.
In line with this tradition, the picturesque Isola Bella – a veritable treasure chest of Baroque art – was the ideal stage for the Maison’s latest Cruise show.
Over the years, Louis Vuitton has chosen stunning venues for its Cruise shows, each one reflecting the brand’s affiliation with architectural excellence and artistic inspiration.
Previous locations include the Bob & Dolores Hope Estate in Palm Springs, the Contemporary Art Museum designed by Oscar Niemeyer in Niterói, the Miho Museum near Kyoto envisioned by I.M. Pei, and the Salk Institute in California, among others.
The Cruise collection will be available in all Louis Vuitton stores worldwide in November 2023.
