Bridgerton stars nab top beauty roles prior to season two

As hype builds for the arrival of the second season of Netflix Regency-era hit series Bridgerton, two of the series’ breakout stars have landed top beauty deals.

On the cosmetics front, Nicola Coughlan (above), who stole our hearts as Penelope Featherington, aka Lady Whistledown, a pivotal figure in the ongoing Bridgerton series, has joined top makeup artist Pat McGrath as the latest ‘muse’ for her sought-after cosmetics line Pat McGrath Labs.

Fittingly, Coughlan has come on board to promote Pat McGrath Labs’ second makeup collection collaboration with Bridgerton, created with approval from the show’s production company Shondaland. A first collection was full of fittingly romantic regency-appropriate packaging holding some stunning makeup options in McGraths signature pigment-rich formulas and the new range (below) also includes some lavish details and swoon-worthy soft shimmering pinks and pastel hues.

The new range (above), which Coughlan is seen applying in a post on her Instagram account, includes an eye shadow palette, kohl eyeliner, lipstick, blush palette and body shimmer and will be available shortly on Pat McGrath Labs website

Coughlan also appears in some glamorous promotional material for the new range.

“Cannot believe this is actually real but I’m so excited to announce that I’m the new Pat McGrath Muse,” the actress announced on her Instagram account.

“What an absolute dream come true thank you Pat I’m truly on cloud nine.”

McGrath, a British makeup artist and renown industry expert quickly responded in the comments: “You may play a lady on TV, but to me you are a Queen! Welcome to the #patmcgrathlabs family, my beauty!”

Pat McGrath Labs has been revealed as the only makeup brand used on the cast during the filming of the new season.

British actress Phoebe Dynevor, who plays Daphne Bridgerton, the main focus of the first series, has also just been named as popular US skincare brand Sunday Riley’s first brand ambassador.

Sunday Riley announced its appointment of the actress in a video posted on its Instagram account where Dynevor states she is a longtime fan of the brand, particularly of its bestselling Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment, which she promotes in her first campaign.

From the moment I first tried Sunday’s products and indeed met Sunday herself, I knew that their ethos and their products were the perfect fit,” the star said in a statement.

“Not only do I love what they stand for, but I love their products in equal measure. I have always been keen to keep my skin in the best condition I can. And to have found a product like Good Genes that includes the benefits of different products but in one highly advanced serum, it’s the perfect combination and solution to keep my skin smooth, clear, instantly radiant, and glowing.”

Bridgerton series two, that follows Daphne’s brother, Viscount Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathon Bailey) as he decides to marry, returns to Nextflix on March 25. Watch the trailer for the new series.
