That’s what’s in store at an upcoming dinner that brings the expertise and approach of two chefs together, for the benefit of our tastebuds.
The first of a collaborative dining series will see Executive Chef Wallace Mua of Trivet restaurant and Aryeh’s Lucas Parkinson team up in one kitchen, for one-night only.
With the public invited to book seats at the exclusive event next Thursday, 26th of March, it’s a unique opportunity to experience the refined dishes of both culinary talents in one place.
Modern bistro Trivet, located inside central Auckland’s JW Marriott hotel, is the perfect stylish space to host the occasion.

In our experience, chefs are always at their best when provided a challenge and working with the ingredients and provenance they love the most. With Parkinson joining Mua in a space the latter has made his own, it will be a night that no doubt provides plenty to surprise and delight.
Born in New Zealand, Mua worked in kitchens in Paris and Marseille honing his craft, before stints at top Auckland spots Soul, Euro, and Kingi. For the past two years he has affirmed his stellar reputation as Executive Chef at Trivet, delivering dishes with a fresh fusion of Pacific heritage, international influences and the best local ingredients.
Lucas Parkinson is chef at Piha’s Aryeh, and previously Ode in Wānaka. He is known for his reverence for the land and seasonal ingredients grown and raised locally, turning out familiar Kiwi fare with an inventive twist.
The multi-course menu will begin with nostalgic Kiwi-inspired bites – including elevated takes on classics like hot dogs, lasagne toppers and Big Ben pies – before moving into dishes shaped by the chefs’ overseas experience and contemporary approach to local produce.
Each will present their own entrée and main course, showcasing their individual cooking styles, before coming together again for a collaborative dessert celebrating seasonal ingredients.
At $125 per person, with an optional $60 wine pairing, the Trivet x Aryeh Collaborative Dinner is open for bookings now.
A night with Dom Pérignon, IWA Sake and Caviar Mafia

Continuing the theme of unique, one-off culinary experiences, on Tuesday, 31 March, Kureta at JW Marriott Auckland will present a night with Dom Pérignon, IWA Sake and Caviar Mafia.
The special omakase experience in the hotel’s sleek Tepan House restaurant, a recent arrival to central Auckland’s restaurant scene, is a celebration of fine dining and some of the world’s most respected beverage names.
The evening will feature Kureta’s signature multi-course omakase menu alongside Dom Pérignon champagne, IWA Sake, and caviar from Caviar Mafia. Guests will also hear from Charles-Antoine Picart, co-founder of IWA Sake, who will share insight into the philosophy and craftsmanship behind the acclaimed sake house.
At $495 per person for a 10-course omakase experience, its a rare and intimate occasion that’s not to be missed.
The Kureta, Dom Perignon, IWA and Caviar Mafia dinner event is open for bookings now.
