The first trip Bev and Danny booked with YOU Travel & Cruise Feilding was a six- week tour of Europe in 2018 with Trafalgar, followed by a 92-day trip that incorporated the US, a Caribbean cruise, a cruise of Croatia and the Amalfi Coast, an Insight tour of Britain, a Trafalgar tour of Ireland, an Insight tour of Scotland and 6 nights in Dubai. “After our 2018 trip I took my mum on a six-week trip to Europe. As she was in her 80s I booked the transfers but I did not use YOU Travel & Cruise … and what a mistake that was as we were left waiting around for hours. So when it came to our 93-day trip in 2024 we went straight back to Leah at YOU Travel & Cruise Feilding and our entire trip was planned and executed flawlessly. We have a good idea of where we want to go, and Leah at YOU Travel & Cruise Feilding always has loads of ideas and helpful information to fine tune what we want.”

Conrad and Robyn have booked multiple trips through YOU Travel & Cruise Bethlehem including Australia, UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. “It started through YOU Travel & Cruise’s support of Team Local with our first trip in 2015 from Darwin to Adelaide on the Ghan. This started our great relationship with Kay Rogers and YOU Travel & Cruise Bethlehem,” says Conrad. “After over 50 countries they all offer their own unique adventure and experience.” Conrad and Robyn particularly enjoy unique accommodation, having stayed in castles, silos, tree huts, caves, safari tents and cruise boats; however, 5-star accommodation is always enjoyed. Their many memorable experiences include travelling in the cockpit of a 747 flight from Auckland to Hong Kong; Antarctica on Shackleton’s Centennial Expedition; hot air ballooning over the Serengeti; the bullet train in Japan; wildlife safaris in Africa; camel riding in the Sahara; and walking the Great Wall of China.

Keen travellers Debbie & Pete F have booked many trips through YOU Travel & Cruise Feilding, “because our travel agent Leah is so efficient and gives good advice and tips on timings, activities, hotels,” says Debbie. “We have booked a cruise in 2008, Rarotonga in 2015 and 2023, Port Douglas Australia in 2017, a European Supreme Trafalgar Tour in 2018, and a 3-month USA-UK-Caribbean-Europe tour with Trafalgar/Insight/Cosmos/MSC Cruises/Celebrity Cruises.” They love Rarotonga for rest and relaxation, but have loved all their destinations, especially Croatia for the history and beauty. Their favourite type of holiday would probably be a cruise: “We loved the Celebrity cruise the most because we could unpack for 10 days and not live out of the suitcase and we utilised the balcony, but in terms of travelling from place to place the Mercure and Radisson hotels are right up there for space and comfort.”

“We use YOU Travel & Cruise Mairangi Bay for all our travel, including all our cruises,” says Rosey. “Their customer service is excellent: Chris and Nicola know the products they sell, and think of everything. Even the small things the experienced traveller needs reminding of including visas, insurance, and options available at destinations. They also look out for specials that will suit us.” Their favourite trip booked by YOU Travel & Cruise Mairangi Bay was a cruise in Alaska on Royal Princess. “Alaska was a place we always wanted to go, and would go back tomorrow. It was a busy cruise with lots of interesting port days; the scenery was amazing. We did the land-based option first and it was very well organised by Princess. It was a seamless operation. Every port we enjoyed our excursions and there’s so much to see and do.” They are already planning their next exciting cruise, a 30-day Royal Princess cruise from Auckland to Vancouver.
David & Chris C
For their first cruise, David says an agent at YOU Travel & Cruise Tau po convinced them to try a cruise from Brisbane to Cairns and back. “It was great … and it’s what started our cruise travels.” Since then David and Chris have booked nine cruises through YOU Travel & Cruise Tau po, including a 106-night world cruise. “We have travelled through Thailand, England, Europe, Canada, Vietnam, and cruised around the Greek islands,” says David. An elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai in Thailand has been their standout experience, as well as the ruins of Ephesus in Turkey. “We enjoy escorted tours, they take you everywhere,” says David. “Our guide told us to close our eyes and imagine Cleopatra driving past us in her chariot, and the ruins themselves were amazing.” They also loved Petra in Jordan and Machu Picchu in Peru. “Now we are a little older we love to cruise,” says David. Their next trip is a cruise around the islands, the same cruise they took in 2023. “This time we are taking our daughter, son-in-law and our 5-year-old twin granddaughters. By doing the same cruise we know where to go and what to do, and I am really looking forward to it.”

Carol was walking past YOU Travel & Cruise Tauranga when she decided to go inside and ask about a cruise. Impressed with their expertise, she ended up booking a cruise to Italy and Spain. “We enjoyed the cruise,” says Carol. “My husband, Darryl and I felt very spoilt and having everything in one place is very convenient.” Carol says she is already planning her next trip with YOU Travel & Cruise Tauranga, this time walking the famous Camino de Santiago.

Ellie has booked so many trips through YOU Travel & Cruise Orewa that it is difficult to remember them all. “We’ve travelled throughout Asia, Africa, Europe and North America for several years,” says Ellie. “Each trip was meticulously planned and executed, thanks to the expertise of Kiri. We keep coming back to Kiri and YOU Travel & Cruise because we have so much confidence and faith in the team’s recommendations.” Ellie has recently returned from travelling around the Mediterranean on Seven Seas Splendor, a luxury cruise ship in the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet. “Kiri brought this opportunity to our attention and it turned out to be an adventure of a lifetime.” In addition to cruising, Ellie loves boutique hotels for their unique charm and personalised service. “Kiri has certainly found a few for us over the years from the Handlery Union Square Hotel in San Francisco to Ca’ dei Conti in Venice to the Divani in Athens, Greece.” A recent trip to Rwanda to visit the silverback gorillas was a highlight. “Seeing these magnificent, gentle creatures thriving in their natural habitat was one of the great travel experiences of our lives.”
