The Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted at Sainsbury's in Hardwick, Cambridgeshire with Prince George and Princess Charlotte choosing Halloween costumes.

Royal fans have praised the Duchess for being so ‘relatable’, with fans expecting her to shop at more expensive department stores, such as Harrods for Halloween costumes.

Mother-of-four Kathy Whittaker, 53, couldn’t believe her eyes as Kate browsed Halloween outfits while a brawny six-foot bodyguard lingered close by. ‘She was with Charlotte and George looking at Halloween outfits but her bodyguard was kind of watching people with phones and telling them no pictures. I managed to get the photo as she was at the self-service check out.

The Duchess engaged with other children in the store, asking them what they were dressing up as for Halloween. Kathy from Norwich said Kate seemed ‘down to earth’ and looked ‘beautiful as always.’ She added: ‘It was so lovely to see her doing normal stuff that you and I do.

Charlotte, four, and George, six, followed their mother closely as they walked through the shop.

Fans took to social media to further extend their praise of the Duchess. ‘She is a perfect representative of the Crown while on royal duties, and just relatable Kate when not on duties.’ one Instagram user commented.
