The jury still seems to be out on Meghan’s dress. But one thing everyone can agree on is how amazing the Duchess’ makeup was on her wedding day.
While we all hoped that Meghan’s natural look would inspire the masses to go a little more easy on their faces, it seems it has inspired something else: semi-permanent freckle tattoos.
Meghan, who only ever wears a very minimal amount of makeup, would be surely be horrified to know she had kick-started this trend. But we can’t deny that the Duchess’ freckles are totally adorable, so it’s really no surprise that her look is being imitated.
The semi-permanent tattoos can last one to three years, fading with times just as natural freckles do. But unlike natural freckles, they have the potential to turn grey over time.
It’s no secret that excessive sun exposure can also create a face of freckles. So considering the negative effects of too much sun, semi-permanent freckle tattoos may not be so terrible after all. Perhaps an even better alternative could be using two shades of waterproof eyeliner – one pale brown, one slightly darker to create the same effect. To do this, simply dot the eyeliner across the bridge of the nose and lightly onto cheek; no skin damage or needles required.
